That is a bummer.
I just transferred schools and the amount of paper work lost; incorrect info given; and just plain BS that I had to go through was and is a pain in the ass. Since you registered for classes and probably already started paying for them I would recommend talking to an admissions person and saying that you already did the registration and orientation and you were accepted into the school there should be no reason for you not to attend even if you don't fit the credit limit. (It also might be for the grade you trying to transfer too, maybe you don't meet the requirements for a junior but meet requirements for a sophomore instead)
