You should have emailed it to the teacher But since it's too late... you should have told the teacher... "That was my essay, I sent it to him to get it printed..." Then show the teacher the proof by opening your email and showing the sent items, with the time/date stamps on it.
Maybe next time you should put it on a flash drive, or e-mail it to yourself, and print it out EARLY AT SCHOOL. YOU SO DESERVED THAT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So everyone's said - YDI if you're too stupid to show the teacher proof it's your essay. But I wanna add - I hate FMLs like this, where the situation's completely fixable and the author's too stupid/shy/whatever to fix it.
Why didnt you just email it directly to your teacher? Sending work to someone in the same class is never a good idea
WOW that's shitty... but you can always show your email to the teacher, as proof that it's your work and not his.

WAYS TO AVOID THIS SITUATION: Take the paper with you to school, print it out at a lab. Take the paper with you to Kinko's, print it out there. Finish and print your paper earlier than the night before. Email your paper to French teacher. Go to a neighbor's house, print it out there. Email it to a REAL friend outside of your class, ask them to print it out and get confirmation that they are. WAYS TO SCREW UP: Email it to a guy in your class and assume he'll get it and dutifully print it out. Don't follow-up over the phone or anything. You're welcome.
So when you showed the teacher the sent email... What did he say?
