i call fake. or you're an idiot. you'd have be an idiot to let that slide. go put it on a flash drive, show the teacher your email to the guy. anything. you can prove you wrote it. it's not like you can accidentally have a verbatim copy on your computer.
send it to a friend who doesnt have that class to print for you so they cant cheat
Or, you could have finished it early and not on the last minute and then put it on a USB to print at a library.
WAYS TO AVOID THIS SITUATION: Take the paper with you to school, print it out at a lab. Take the paper with you to Kinko's, print it out there. Finish and print your paper earlier than the night before. Email your paper to French teacher. Go to a neighbor's house, print it out there. Email it to a REAL friend outside of your class, ask them to print it out and get confirmation that they are. WAYS TO SCREW UP: Email it to a guy in your class and assume he'll get it and dutifully print it out. Don't follow-up over the phone or anything. You're welcome.
XPS Printer???
Or OP could have shown the teacher the e-mail
Tell your professor.
So when you showed the teacher the sent email... What did he say?
What a dog.
#2 has it on the nail. This is completely your fault. However, as stated earlier you have proof. Use it.
omg, that's horrible! hopefully you have proof and your teacher will believe you and that asshole will get suspended for plagarism
Wow, that's... If you haven't already, I'd contest the grade with proof of your sent e-mail (if your e-mail saves them, I know some don't) and the essay on a flash drive, because that's not right. Or did your teacher think that you were the one who plagarized when you handed it in at a later date? WTH is everyone saying this is her fault? Maybe the OP and this guy were friends - it could have been quite late when she (sorry if you're male) e-mailed him. Yes, okay, maybe it's a lesson in why procrastination doesn't work, but it's not like she knew he was going to turn out to be an asshole who is a cheater.
