Get rid of the cat and you shouldn't have to worry about that.
Your cat is showing it's love. it's bringing you presents.
Your cats think you're a stupid ingrate by rejecting the best part of the rat to eat.
This is what cats have been doing for us for 1000s of years. They kill vermin, we feed them in gratitude. Be glad it's not the live rat jumping up on your bed giving you plague or something.
I read that cats bring you dead animals because they're trying to teach you how to hunt for food. They basically think you are too inept to provide for yourself. They think they're making you a better person. You should eat it to show your gratitude.
Basically that's what they're doing. They don't think we know how to hunt, so they're treating us like kittens bringing us things to eat.
Is your cat an outdoor cat, because if not, I'd be more concerned about the apparent rat infestation you have.
That was my thought too - better to find rat heads than live ones.
