Why are people giving cats baths? I understand wiping and rinsing off the spot, maybe a few seconds under the sink faucet, but to try and stick your cat under the shower or in the bath, is truly unwarranted. Cats inherently don't like water and can clean themselves, not often getting into things they can't control, and will take the time in an inconspicuous spot to get the job done. Perhaps training as a kitten to enjoy the water is an option but to just wash the cat like you would a dog is absurd. Its your own fault if you get scratched. If its an old cat that barfs on itself, perhaps its time you took the poor thing to the vet.

when I had cats and had to wash them I found setting the shower head to a gentle setting helped, tho they also may be freaked out by the noise of the shower as well. wet escaping kitties are no fun lol
