Today, I went on a date, the first one I've been on since my last boyfriend broke up with me 6 months ago. We were at a restaurant, and at the end of meal he insisted on paying the bill. He wanted to leave a 15% tip but couldn't work out in his head how much to leave. The bill was for £100. FML

That isn't that bad. Atleast he wasn't making you pay :)

be glad someone spent $100 on a first date for you, when it's just a dinner.

so atleast he's nice, but that's when an iPhone saves the day

Haha. it's okay, my mom doesn't know that either... :)

at least he isn't Asian. then that would be super fail.

15/100 isn't simple math, its not even common sense. its something a 5th grader would know. i guess he was nice to pay and all but he's pretty stupid

For anybody that is having a hard time figuring it out.... 15% of $100 is.... *drum roll*..... $15

oh my god you stupid ******* fucktards. this is not basic math. this does not require any thought or calculation. it's having extremely basic common sense and understanding what a percentage IS. so unless her date is under the age of about 12, he is either dumber than a box of rocks, or had a major brain fart. that said, if he was well off enough to take her on a nice dinner like this I'd say it's the latter and she should cut him some slack. but that does NOT excuse all you imbeciles saying "not everybody is good at math!!!" or "I can't even figure that out in my head!" really? hey, what's 100% of 100? how about 20%? nothing still? then get off of fml and find a ******* 4th grade math book you ******* idiot!!!!
