Today, I had to explain to my little sister that not all guitars are supposed to have a hole in them, that when I was talking about "breaking it in" I didn't mean I'd smash a hole in it, and that she shouldn't have taken a hammer to my expensive new guitar. FML

I hope this doesn't create a riff between you two.

You know, to her point, breaking it in sounds exactly like what she did. Gotta love the English language

Well, I mean, English isn't the only language with idioms...

That reminds me isn't there a phrase in Spanish that basically says to not care a cucumber?

Well, Christmas is in about 7 months. Maybe your parents will buy you a new one then, even though it's so far away. I hope you get a new one soon!

I hope this doesn't create a riff between you two.

Yeah, don't fret OP, maybe you'll get another one somehow.

Where did she happen to get access to a hammer? I can only assume she must be in the single digit age group to misunderstand such a statement

it's a shame she broke your guitar, you could have made some smashing tunes
