Today, it's my only day off work in a while. I told my boss I'd be available via phone in case of emergencies. So far I've been called three times: To ask how the fax works, to let me know it's a slow day, and to ask me where the letter R is on a keyboard. FML

If your boss or coworkers don't know where the letter R is on a keyboard, then it is definitely an emergency and they need to go back to grade school.

Place your phone in silent and go get yourself a nice drink. These are not emergencies they are contacting you about

That is why you do not work with idiots. Or better yet, when you're at work make them work and not have them depend on you.

Unless you are the company's owner, manager, or in charge of the hiring, there's really not too much you can do about who you work with. Unless you were suggesting that OP quit their job, that seems to be a rather steady one that they have had for a while now. But that would be silly due to how hard it is to find a job nowadays. Especially a steady one with a good salary and benefits.

You should have told him the "R" is right next to the "any" key.

Damn straight! Hmm... All this typing is exhausting. I think I'll order a Tab.

22 - Here, let me Enter that in for ya.

I hope he's screwing with you because otherwise he should definitely not be a boss... Of anything

Are you intimately involved with your boss?
