In your face

Today, I was babysitting three little kids. I gave one of them, a seven-year-old, a piggy-back ride, thinking I was strong enough. I managed to get a few feet before face planting on the wooden floor. She's fine though, no pain or anything. My face took the impact for both of us. FML

Do yourself a favour... don't try to lift anything over 10 pounds without adult supervision anymore. If you fell so fast you couldn't even drop to your knees and let her slide down your back, you weren't even CLOSE to "strong enough", and should not have attempted it.

Hahaha, I just picture some fat little 7 year old jumping on your fallen body.

How could you not lift a 7 year old? I'm a girl and I can still lift my 14 year old friends.

How are you a babysitter. I wouldn't trust you any where near children. What an asshole. Oh, and ydi.

I'm guessing the 7 year old is obese and sort of looks like the michelin man with her rolls of fat?

Seriously? My girlfriend can give me a piggyback and she is ten pounds lighter than I. And she is by no means strong.

If you actually had to consider whether or not you were capable of lifting the child, you probably should have tried it in a room with some sort of padding. Pillows, carpet, lots of couches and beds conveniently placed where you could shift your weight and fall on them instead of a hard floor. I'm not sure whether you did that or not, but when you said "thinking I was strong enough." It left that impression on my mind. If thats not the case then never mind. FYL because I know how much it hurts to have someone fall on you. (Negative side effect of volunteering to backspot cheerleaders who had never flown before, or hadn't flown in years. Someone always freaks out and falls and sometimes there's just no way to catch them without getting hurt.) Next time though, try it in a safer location. If you had fallen in any other direction you would have probably hurt the kid AND yourself. Also, perhaps do some sort of strength exercises. :D

YDI for being a weak shit. seriously, i know an 11 year old girl who can give a 14 year old boy a piggy back ride.

First off, it's 'You're'. Secondly, if you have nothing constructive to say, button it.

Hmmm. How much does this 7 year old weigh? Seems kinda sad you can't piggy back a lil kid :/
