Today, as I was getting ready for church, I couldn't decide between my black or white shoes. I put one of each on, then my son started crying. Fast forward, I'm at church, I look down and I'm wearing one white shoe and one black shoe. FML

Today, yet again, my 3 year-old daughter came home from a few hours with her father, screams and cries over everything, and when she realizes it won't get her anywhere, screams at me that she hates me and that she wants to go home. I calmly told her she is home, and she screamed, "This is not home!" FML

Today, after having bought my daughter a complete set of new school clothes, she threw a tantrum and refused to wear them. I told her she could either wear them, or go to school naked. She made if half-way down the street in the nude before I caught up and dragged her back inside. FML

Put black shoes on her, then take them off. Tickle the bottom of her feet so she can see the black shoes are off. Ask her what shoes she'd like to wear and ask her for help putting them on so she has "control" and is aware of what she is wearing. Also, if not recognizing reality is a common problem for her, make an appointment with her pediatrician.

Try filming her the next time she does something like this and then show her the video. I did this the other day when my daughter was having a meltdown and then just showed her for fun. I was surprised by her reaction. She wanted to watch it a second time and then she snapped out of her fit and started listening. It’s worth a shot.

Today, I got home from a family trip to Disney World. I had taken nearly 300 photos of our trip on my new digital camera. As our car pulled into the driveway, I was using my camera to try to delete one unflattering shot of me. I accidentally deleted every picture off the memory card. FML
