Freaked out

Today, I told my girlfriend that one of my intellectually challenged friends now holds an engineering position at an aircraft company. She wasn't a fan of flying before, and now refuses to set foot anywhere near any aircraft of any kind. FML

One of my sons friends is intellectually challenged, yet he is the best mechanic I have ever used, even getting ASE certified. Just because someone may be intellectually challenged, doesn’t mean that they are dumb, they may just lack social skills many have.

At the Army, we had a sign on the wall, reminding us: "an airplane consists of 20.000 moving parts, all from the lowest bidder." Your friend's company can't have won all contracts. Tell your girlfriend that. She will love flying again.
