Today, I was talking to my best friend about how much of an asshole my ex-boyfriend is. After about 2 hours of non-stop bitching, it turns out she's actually dating him. FML
Today, my ex said I had a lot in common with his new girlfriend. His new, grossly overweight, college drop-out, clinically depressed, constantly pot-smoking girlfriend. FML

Today, I found out that the girl my boyfriend says is "just a good old friend" is actually an "ex that got away." FML

Today, I got in an argument with an ex-girlfriend who kept tactlessly bragging to me about her new boyfriend. I told her to read what she'd sent me, then pretend her boyfriend was telling her that. Fifteen minutes later, her boyfriend calls me, yelling for making her feel sad. FML
Today, I saw my friend's ex and noticed she had gained a ton of weight since he dated her and had been dating someone else. It reminded me of my friend, so I messaged him and made a joke about her being unrecognizable. He informed me that they started seeing each other again last week. FML
Today, even my 11-year-old noticed how much my boyfriend constantly reminisces about his ex-girlfriend. FML
Today, I found out that my new roommate is dating my ex-boyfriend. FML
Today, my mother met my boyfriend. She thought it would be appropriate to tell him that he looks just like my ex-husband. FML

Really all I can say is get over it. Not meaning it in a mean way but he's your EX for reason. He can date who he wants just as you can. Fyl at the same time tho since your being seeing him.

Yeah - he's her ex for a reason, which could mean he's abusive, a cheater or someone you otherwise wouldn't want your friend exposed to. You can't tell her to get over it without knowing the situation.

It's one thing for your ex to date your friend, it's another thing for your friend to be complaining to you about him. Unless her friend had no idea it was her ex that sort of thing is kinda tasteless, she's dealt with her problems with him, she shouldn't have to deal with her friend's.

I don't get how it's disrespectful to date someone's ex? I agree they probably should've talked to op first and see her thoughts, but if you believe that you can't choose who you love why would you throw a fit if your friends falls for your ex? It might be uncomfortable and hard at first, but wouldn't you want your friend to be happy?

im sure ops "friend" would know what ops ex is like since friends normally share alot about their lives and relationships with another. sounds like the friend knew what she was in for when she started dating him
