Casting call out

Today, I was trying out for a play I really wanted to be in. After my audition, I was feeling really good. She said she would post the cast list tomorrow. Not knowing where she would post it, I asked her. Her reply? "It doesn't matter. You won't be on it anyway." FML

Don't worry about it. The director was very rude to say that, but if you are planning on acting you are going to see a lot more of that. Don't let it get to you, just keep auditioning... and don't listen to the people posting negative comments, they just have no life. Break a leg in your future auditions!

YDI for being such an awful actor. Get lessons.

I guess "she" means the audition judge (stupid rule of 300 characters).

That's life. You audition for something, there's a risk you won't be accepted. Better luck next time.

I agree that you always have to be prepared for rejection, but what the director said to her was pretty unprofessional.

If she was the director, then just ask if you can help out in some way. Because directors know that if you can still fake a smile after having shit flung in your face you're perfect for the Magical World that is Theatre.

that suks but really that's not to bad :/ it could been worse now you don't have to have the excitment build up inside of you while you wait to see if you make it then have it instantly deflated when you find out you didn't. in a way it was KINDA nice of what she did but she coulda worded it differently

You would've found out either way. YDI for getting upset over it.
