Today, I auditioned for the musical at my school. Before I sang my song, I gave my music to the director. She said "Oh, I love this song!". After I sang it, she told me, "It's okay, I still like the song." FML

Lol, okay. I auditioned for the musical at my school, and the director picked the two singers who were far worse than I was. In my experience, most musicals are riddled with favoritism, and no matter how good you are, you'll get screwed if you don't know the right people. For reference, I auditioned for High School Musical. I was going up for Troy. They gave me Ryan. I quit. =

A lot of times, the character comes first before vocals so the others were probably more suitable for the roles.
