Today, I put my hamster in his ball, and spent about an hour cleaning his cage. When I came back, I realized he wasn't even alive. FML

1) Just how dirty was his cage? I have a massive mouse cage (it's actually a medium sized rat cage) and to take it apart, clean it fully and put in new toys takes 30 minutes. 2) Those plastic balls are dangerous, ever seen a small animal bump into a WALL at full tilt in one of those things? This is probably what caused it's death.

Yeah something like this happened to me once. Besides the fact I accidently let off a flea bomb and forgot about him in the house I also forgot to feed him though.
