Acting out

Today, I was running to my car, slipped, and slammed my head on the car door. I started driving to the hospital because it was bleeding profusely and I was dizzy, I called my mom to tell her what had happened. She said I was grounded for "goofing off" and that she was "sick of my shit". FML

If this is true, then you really could have endangered a lot of people. What if you had passed out and swerved into a neighbor's yard or something? Still, I agree. Your mom is a bitch.

Ugh, that totally sucks, i would be pissed... if you usually joke around about stuff like that though, then the fact she thought that isnt so suprising, and you knida asked for it, but otherwise your mom should still make sure your not lying before she jumps to conlusions

LOL! Sounds like something my mom would say.

man, i can just hear her, walk, don't run.

It must have been a feeling of immense satisfaction for you when she saw the bandage on your head, or if she heard from a doctor from the hospital. my mom's the same way.

That sounds like something my father would do.

you must either have a bad history or your mom was pms ing

Your mom is a total bitch. I hope your doctor called and gave her what-for. You shouldn't have driven to the hospital like that, but I can understand that it's not easy to think rationally when something like that has happened. But please, if you're in that situation again, call an ambulance.

so what happened? did your mom get mad at you or unground you, was the head injury serious? i hope not, but enough so you got some kind of revenge :) i agree, it mightve been dangerous to drive with a head injury, but im glad you got to the hospital before anything bad happened

All you people who are younger and reading this, NEVER drive a car after suffering a head injury even if it is to go to the hospital. Get a friend to drive or call a paramedic (might sound silly to call a paramedic), this situation could have gotten a lot worse than a scolding from your mother.

I hope you're okay. I know you probably weren't thinking straight, but next time you hit your head and feel you have to go to the hospital, call for an ambulance or at least someone else to drive you. It would have been terrible if you'd passed out or something in the car.
