Today, I started lessons on snowboarding. As soon as I got to the top of the hill, my instructor pushed me saying, "Just believe, it'll come to you!" He said this just before I hit a tree, breaking my nose. FML

Today, I went snowboarding for the first time. I was so scared that I passed out. I was only on the kiddie hill. FML
Today, I was feeling depressed, so I decided to go snowboarding with friends to cheer myself up. I fell on the first trail and broke my dominant wrist. FML
Today, I was skiing and crashed into a tree. It was the only tree on the slope. FML
Today, I was snowboarding when a skier cut me off, resulting in me colliding with a 12 year-old girl. The girl was totally fine, and I was alright except for a slight nose bleed. I apologized to the girl, then her mom hit me over the back with a ski pole as I snowboarded away. FML
Today, I went skiing. Trying to show off to some inexperienced skiers, I flew past them at my top speed, a bracket snapped off my boot and I slid on my face for about 30 metres. FML
Today, I went skiing with a friend of mine. He went first. I heard a loud *THUD* and went to investigate. When I went past him, he yelled, "I ran into a tree. I don't feel so good!" He said it in such a defeated and humorous way, that I crashed into a tree myself because I couldn't stop laughing. FML
Today, I went sledding with my friends. I said I was tired and didn't want to go, but they press-ganged me into it. I ended up sledding right into a tree, fracturing my leg, and scraping up my entire face. FML
Today, I went snowboarding and fell backwards, hitting my head on a patch of ice. When I got home, I told my brother I thought I might have a concussion. He told me I should be a man and suck it, swiftly smacking my head, causing me to pass out. FML
Today, I was skiing really fast and there was a sign saying 'Slow Down'. Feeling rather good about myself I decided to jump over the sign. Whilst jumping, however, I caught my ski tips on the sign and went face first into the ground. Hard. FML
Today, it snowed. So, a guy I like and I decided to go sledding. I really wanted to impress him by going down the hill and casually slowing down at the bottom right at his feet. Instead, I crashed into him and broke his ankle. FML

if you're paying him to instruct, it would probably be a good idea for him to actually instruct. I remember when I went skiing last year, it was 10 years after I last went skiing which was when I was 8. I told my instructor I didn't know how to turn and they were like "yes you do!" I was like "no I don't I can't remember!" Then they went off without me so I followed, and what do you know, first corner, just went straight into a massive pile of snow and my skis broke. if it was the second corner it would have been a cliff.

OP probably started on the bunny hill, every ski hill I've gone to there were trees on the sides of the bunny hill. Personally, Im finding this story a little exaggerated. I believe that the OP broke their nose, but i dont think the instructor did what was said. Im an instructor, and while we do the course to become a certified instructor, they say very clearly that the safety of others is in your hands, and if they get hurt its your fault. you can get into serious trouble, fired, and/or even banned from the ski hill.
