Today, I was threatened to be held back because of the lack of teacher-parent communication. My parents refuse to sign my report card because of my one mark below ninety percent. My teacher was dead serious about failing me. FML

Today, my parents saw my report card. Now, they refuse to buy me my the new computer I've always wanted because my grades had 'slipped'. I made honor roll for three terms, and was kept off for the fourth for a single bad grade. I failed gym. FML

Today, my parents have made it very clear to me that if I fail one more assignment, they’re disowning me. I got a zero on a paper that I poured my heart and soul into, and in the notes, the teacher wrote, “I don’t even need to read this paper to know that it is bad.” FML

Today, my math teacher brought his laptop to tally up all our scores for our report card. He then displayed the results on a big screen in front of the whole class. The ones who failed were marked yellow. I was the only one marked yellow. FML

Today, the feedback my teacher wrote on my English assignment was so horrible that it took me half an hour and help from both my parents to decipher it. It turned out to be a scathing criticism of my "poor communication skills". I hate my teachers. FML

Today, we got our progress reports. My physics teacher wrote that I don't participate in class. My mom got mad and grounded me before I could tell her that I raise my hand in class all the time but my teacher won't call on me cause he can't pronounce my name. FML

Today, my friend said that his dad told him we couldn't hang out anymore, he thinks I'm a bad influence because I don't have all 90's in my classes. The only reason he knows I have below a 90 is because he's my geography teacher. I have an 87. FML

In a way they are, but really, failing a student because of "lack of parent teacher communication?" My parents almost never speak to my teachers (and if the teacher needed to talk to OP'S parents so horribly that they are going to fail OP, why didn't they tell them to talk to them during a parent teacher meeting?) and I have never been threatened to be failed because of it. It doesn't make sense to fail a student because of that.

I don't think it's the lack of communication as much as they're at a stalemate. The parents (who are the idiots of this situation) somehow refuse to sign op's report card because they are unhappy about his grade (as if a refusal of signature is going to make the teacher change the grade) and the teacher has to have them sign the report card in order for it to all be valid (I guess). Sounds like the parents are being idiots. A refusal to sign the report card isn't going to change the grade. I'd have the teacher try and explain that to them (and that a grade just under 90% is an incredible grade) and see if they'll change their minds. Good luck op and sorry you're in the middle of this. If all else fails, try forging it yourself and hope the parents forget about it.
