Today, my husband finally admitted that he squandered the last three months of my share of the rent on booze. He then blamed me, demanded more money, asked for a divorce, and stormed out. When he returned he asked, "How am I the bad guy?" FML

I could name plenty of reasons he's the bad guy.

Addiction (I would assume) can unfortunately do that. It's a terrible thing to have to deal with for everyone involved.

I'd say take the divorce offer and leave him. Like ******* hell someone's going to spend my rent money and proceed to extort more.

I'm so sorry, OP!!!!!!! You deserve much better!!!!!!! Tell him to F off!

Well he did want a divorce. Op could call it wish granted.

try to talk him down, if you think he is addicted to booze, get him to a rehab?

Show him this FML, that should answer his question, with everything summed up.

I hope you don't have kids. . that'll just make me sad.

Yes! I was thinking the same thing. Really really hoping kids aren't in the picture.

"You are not, you are the terrible, in denial guy"

Which one of the steps was the one where you make amends to the people you hurt? That's propably when he's going to see the reason why. So sorry you have to go through that.
