Today, after I got the birth control implant, waited a week like my doctor told me, my fiancé is still too scared that I'll get pregnant. It's been 2 months. FML

I mean, with a fiancée, this wouldn't be a problem. A fiancé, however, is another story.

As they say in middleschool, the only way to not get pregnant is abstinence!

******** can transfer sperm to the uterus if the person with it masturbates at any point is in a hand that's touched any semen or pre-cum. Anal sex is even less safe- not only can semen drop into the ****** during sex if the ****** is positioned where gravity can make it run there. And after the dick comes out, it would be even worse, because it would get on the persons thighs and smeared around that region. So, yeah, if you wanna get real technical, the only 100% safe form of sex I can think of would be to clean two seats diagonal from each other, each person ********** their own junk, watch the other person, and aim waaaaaaay the hell away from the ****** across the room. And then the bearer of the the almighty uterus would need to leave first, without touching anything, so they don't risk getting semen on their ******.

#15 I see someone is very much into Chaos Theory.

#15 and the chance of that happening is

My grandmother said there were situations causing her to ask about possibly becoming pregnant (didn't want to be) and her doctor always told her "The ONLY woman that CAN'T get pregnant is a dead woman.".

Don't have sex, because you will get pregnant... And die.

Because he's scared he'll "implant" in you. But seriously though, I understand your pain.

it seems the partner is a girl considering the word 'fiancée'

If he's so scared why don't you just use condoms too

They have a .001% chance of breaking. That's too much risk.

I was going to say the same thing. I wish people would learn the difference.

eh do someone else so he'll see it works bwahaha

He's either cheating on you or he's gay. Sorry to break it to you, but at least you're good to go for the next guy.

Can you think of more plausible reasons for the fiancé's "fear?"

The patch isn't a 100% fix and he isn't ready for children, also the fact that the OP is rushing this means she would be more likely to be the cheater, not the fiancé considering. You are just assuming the guy is at fault either because he's in the closet or he's unfaithful, with no evidence to contribute your claims, which makes them ridiculous.

Admittedly, I don't have evidence. When commenting on an FML, one rarely has much evidence. You think his irrational fear of impregnating her gives him the right to deny her sex for two months? How does that work?

Actually, yes, his "irrational fear" of getting his spouse-to-be pregnant DOES give him the right to refuse to have sex. It's called consent. If she were to make him have sex despite him saying he doesn't want to, it would be rape. Which is illegal. Rather importantly, that "irrational fear" as you called it? It's a hell of a lot better than not caring, getting someone pregnant, and then leaving a child either with a single parent or in the foster system. Now that's a shitty thing to do- decide that a few minutes of pleasure is worth creating a life that will suffer because you didn't want it or couldn't raise it, but still decided to **** someone. Shit happens, any birth control can fail. And with IUDs, pregnancy can be lethal to the child AND parent, plus permanently damage or even destroy the reproductive organs of the pregnant parent. And there are ALSO phobias about that, which is a medical condition. Also, there's nothing saying all sex sex has to be completely off the table- penetrative sex with the fiancé penetrating OP vaginally is, but most other positions would be more than fine between the IUD and keeping the semen away from the vaginal area.

Pretty much being human gives us the right to deny sex for as long as we want to so... And they're not married, so he's not her slave yet.

Ah yes, the typical mindset many people think a male has- If he doesn't want to have sex, he's cheating or gay! Newsflash: men aren't walking dogs in heat, they don't always want sex and do not have to have sex if they don't want to. The fact that he's scared he's going to get his fiancee pregnant makes it seem as if he might be a virgin, which would be a plausible reason to be afraid to do it. And even if he's not, he still has a right to be cautious and not want to put out.

Either reassure him and get things started in the bedroom, or become best friends with your toys until he comes around.

Then have him where a condom. And if that does not work, maybe he is just not ready for sex.

Well, the implementation still is not a sure fire method of preventing pregnancy. Condoms and meds also help if you're trying to avoid childbirth.

The implant is "meds"; it works similarly to the pill or DepoProvera.

So if I'm pregnant I can use a condom to prevent childbirth? Kewl.
