Today, the drummer from my band stole the $200 deposit for our rental practice space and used it for a trip down to Maryland with his girlfriend. A few hours ago, my brother and I found him passed out in his cousin's house, very hungover. His first words to us were, "Can I borrow 20 bucks?" FML

Show it anyway

Tell him he needs to pay it back even if he has to pawn his drum set to do it, it's only fair, unless you own the drums he was using that is

As a professional musician, I can tell you that a space whose use is only for music is really something amazing. I've been playing in my room for decades, and now that I have a dedicated space, I feel so relieved. It's like saying "Wasting money on houses is dumb because camping cars were invented". You got it?

Yeah I would have kicked him in the face.

How did this man wake up without multiple dicks drawn on his face?

sex, drugs, and rock and roll.. he sounds like a drummer. Good luck with your professionalism if you don't get rid of him soon.

Drummer clichés... I just can't get rid of em. Like, they're supposed to be beasts, but I'm as thin and gentle as a freaking newborn. Please stop generalizing.

She did mention to get rid of him. Seriously, thin and gentle? What does that have to do with being a good musician.

Neftali, I was just saying that drummers are supposed to be "brutal". This is a cliché. Like in the Commitments. But it's, like all the clichés, not always true ^^
