With the level of experience I assume you have, you should find a new place of work and earn the money you deserve!
I agree with #1, find a new place to work at, with your experience, not one that is 10 years behind

"To go north, you must go south. To reach the west, you must go east. To go forward you must go back, and to touch the light you must pass beneath the shadow."
Game of thrones - Quote by Quaithe for Dany
Did you get a "raise" too?
If you enjoy that position and still get the same pay before downsizing stick with it. But if not, there are more places that would most likely hire you!
Like others have said...don't just lay down and take that. With ten years of experience your options are wide. Just go work somewhere where your experience and know how is appreciated rather than used.
Tell them to suck it and find another job. Shouldn't be too hard with your experience. Good luck
I'm sorry, OP. I hope you can find a better job.
Time for a life change
Happened to me... it sucks.. good luck finding a new and better place
