That's messed up. Sometimes things like this are a blessing in disguise, and if they're willing to drop you like that it might be life's weird way of giving you an opportunity for something better.

seems like maybe a p.c. way of releasing you. I hope that's not the case, but it would save a lot of headache with the hr department.
