Today, my wife is divorcing me because she wants to party more with her friends alone. One year ago, I followed her to Norway, where her family lives. I left my friends, family and job opportunities (which were very good) in order to live with her. Now I am shoveling shit on a horse farm. FML

Same thing different taste
Today, my wife said she wants a divorce. Three days ago, I added her onto the title to my house, my bank accounts, and my business. FML
Going solo
Today, my ex-girlfriend got married to a man she met last year. She left me after 8 years together because I told her I wanted to have fun and live my life, and wasn’t ready for marriage. Three years later, I’m not having fun at all. None of my bros wanna make plans because they’d rather be with their wives and kids. FML
Commitment
Today, my wife asked for a divorce. Apparently, me being forced to work on her birthday and our anniversary 3 years in a row is the absolute limit she’s willing to put up with. FML
Today, my current wife left me for my ex-wife. FML
Ciao!
Today, I found out that my wife of 5 years has decided to change everything: her job, clothes, hair style, car, and me. FML
Boring FML
Today, my wife of seven years told me she wants a divorce because I'm boring. FML
You must be joking
Today, my new wife and I got home from our honeymoon, and not an hour later she'd sat me down for a talk, saying, "Now that you're married you've got to act the part and give up this silly nonsense," then banned me from seeing my friends, playing video games, and basically everything else I ever enjoyed. FML
Dream house
Today, my wife wanted more space, so we moved to a new house. I signed a more expensive one-year lease and went through a huge move. Everything would’ve been fine if she hadn’t broken up with me one month later. Now I’m trying to renegotiate the lease and sleeping on the couch. FML
Dear John
Today, my wife packed the kids up and left for Idaho. I found a letter saying that she misses her paranoid schizo dad and brother, and that she misses me when I'm at work, but can't stand me when I'm home. She is now 1700 miles away, and I'm here alone. FML
Moving on
Today, a year after we agreed to a divorce, my wife and I are still married and living together because it's not financially possible for us to split. We get along well enough, but I'm ready to move on. She's already moving on, according to the boyfriend she's been seeing for months. FML

Because that wouldn't have ruined it.

Ouch. Sorry to read this. :( You had faith in and trusted someone, and she totally screwed you over. Unfortunately, I've seen this happen more than once. Right now, you're probably feeling pretty upset and despondent. Take a few deep breaths, get some clarity, and refuse to let her childish, inconsiderate behavior ruin your life. Get back up on your feet and make some opportunities for yourself. Succeed in spite of her being a royal bitch.

...and then kill her and dump her body in the river.

norvay, yahhh? atleast you didnt get dragged somewhere to like darfur or something. come back to the states, or canada, eh.

Well...heh, returning from Norway to US could be compared to being dragged from US to Darfur...with just a little of exaggeration :)

Wtf? I'd never move to a foreign country because someone I loved was living there. I know Norway is beautiful but dude, that's a huge culture change. Move back ASAP.

how u know moving to norway is a huge culture change? AFAIK the OP havnt said anything of where he came from to begin to. But i will assume you assume he comes from US? and if that's the case its really not a HUGE cultural change at all! seriously, Norway is a western country with really high HDI and a really wealthy population. Not a country filled with farmers and stupid people.. besides the culture in Norway is very similar to the one in US except that the population is safer and wealthier in Norway

I was going to say the exact same thing, but you beat me to it! :) I live in Norway, but I just spent the summer in California, and it's really not that different.. Sure, people in the US are way more polite, and strangers talk to you in the stores, and I have come to understand that it is bad service if the waiter doesn't instantly give you the check when you are done? (In Norway it is the opposite.. Giving the check before it is asked for is considered very rude!) But apart from that, it is pretty much the same... Maybe you should check your facts before you speak/type next time? :)

Good news: You can go back to your friends, family & job prospects. Bad news: You're getting a divorce. Well, maybe that isn't such a bad thing at all since your selfish ass of a wife convinced you to move to a foreign country and pretty much give up your life for her. No significant other should ever do that, regardless of the circumstances. Maybe cancer or some other illness, but just for ***** and giggles? **** that.

#27 ***** and giggles? LMFAO

it isnt exactly easy to move between countries. In a divorce (not to sound stereotypical, I am a woman but this is normally true) the ex wife will usually take the man for all she can. That leaves him with no money for an airplane ticket back to the states, let alone enough to be able to afford a place to stay. If she somehow gets the courts to make him pay alimony, he may never make enough to get out if all hes doing is shoveling horse shit. OP: your wife is a bitch.
