Today, my mother, my aunt, and my two sisters are all on their periods. I can't even brush my teeth in my own house without being treated like a criminal. FML

What're you taking about? Before I went on birth control, mine lasted for 7 days.

Sorry, I thought I read somewhere that it was impossible to have 7 days of menstruation. :( It's 3 in the morning and I'm sleep deprived.

I feel sorry for you b/c women living together some how tend to get their periods together but better to get it done at once then have it spread out

i don't understand why women have to be bitchy about their periods. For me it's just: insert menstrual cup, take ibuprofen, carry on as normal apart from an extra two minutes in the bathroom a couple of times a day. No big deal.

Bully for you. A lot of women get incredibly painful cramps that refuse to go away or ease off no matter what you take or do. As well as the constant feeling of being unclean and disgusting, despite how many times you clean yourself up.

"As well as the constant feeling of being unclean and disgusting, despite how many times you clean yourself up." hence the cup usage.

There is nothing 'disgusting' or 'unclean' about having a period. It's a completely normal bodily function necessary for reproduction (in human females). If a period is disgusting and unclean, then ejaculation in males would also be 'unclean' and 'disgusting'. I find it sad that you think you're unclean when you're on your period as such a view comes from hundreds of years of misogynistic attitudes towards women and their natural bodily functions. Embrace your period, it's a healthy sign of your fertility and wellbeing.

i think lottiebearx meant feeling disgusting from the sticky feeling you get no matter how much you wash, change tampons/pads/cups. I know it makes me feel unclean but not in a shameful way, just unclean because you are constantly aware of the blood. I don't think anyone woman would say they enjoy their periods even the lucky ones who get no pain or mood swings.

Ummm Not Really. For me, it is extremely painful cramps, occasional blood clots, a ton of blood and last week I had a terrible stomach ache and I felt like I was going to throw up. I usually don't get mad at people when I am on my period though, I usually uncontrollable cry.

I hate it when I'm trying to be a bitch and someone blames it on PMS!

@110 freefalling Dude, I would not admit I was from Arkansas. Once again, the fact that someone gets pissed means whatever was said is true. Now, go grab your sis and "do-se-do", 'round and 'round and 'round you go!! =D

It can happen, but it often doesn't, e.g. lived with my mother for 19 years and no overlap :P
