Today, I was at a restaurant with my kids. I told my 13 year old about how the very first time she said she loved me. She was 2 and it was at this very restaurant. I told her the details and even started tearing up a little. She didn't even look up from her cell phone and said, "That's fab, ma." FML
Today, I told my girlfriend I love her for the first time. She said, "Thanks." FML
Today, I told my mom, "I love you". She responded with, "What? I never told you I loved you." FML
Today, I told my mom I loved her a lot. Her reply? "Thanks." FML
Today, my daughter spoke her first words. Her dad had been practicing with her for weeks in secret. She crawled to me and said, "I poop." FML
Today, for my 18th birthday my mum gave me a black lace thong. I'm a guy. FML
Today, was my mom's birthday. I recently got my first job, thanks to her, and could finally afford to buy her something nice. I spent my first paycheck ever on buying her a very nice bracelet. She said it was nice, then asked if I would mind if she exchanged it for one she actually liked. FML
Today, it's my soon to be 12 year-old daughter's birthday. On my break at work I texted her how much I loved her and happy birthday. She replied with, "K, when will you be home? Mom won't let me open presents until you're here." Good to know I'm loved. FML
Today, my daughter asked me to hug her and tell her I love her, like I "always used to", because she “misses it.” She’s 25 years-old and acts like a little baby. FML
Today, my 15-year-old birth daughter asked if I've ever had sex. FML

You're buying your 16 year old daughter a thong. Parenting fail. Maybe there's a reason she never says, "I love you." Hopefully by the time she's 18 she'll have grown out of it like most teenagers do. In the meanwhile, maybe you should try to be more of a mother and less "cool" and you'd get more respect.

There is nothing wrong with a thong/ Gstring people. Ur not an automatic **** if you wear one. At least she is 16 & not 10. That's good that she came around & said I love u. It's a start to a better mom & daughter relationship.

#37: How does underwear lead to babies unless it's on the floor? Underwear is generally for wearing, so I don't think anyone should be jumping to conclusions and assuming that this poor woman will end up turning into a grandmother. Just screwed up. #42: LMFAO. I agree. 16 year old should buy her own underwear. #51: Just because its a thong doesn't mean it's "erotic". Not all thongs are made to look skanky. Many are cute, and comfortable. I think anyone who has gone through puberty is old enough to make their own decisions about what's comfortable, and what they feel good in. Regardless if they show it off or not. And age is only a number. And to the original poster, I don't believe that buying underwear for your child is bad parenting. Last time I checked, clothing is a necessity. Even if it only covers half your ass. (: But I'm sure she'd love you even if you didn't buy them. Teens are interesting creatures, don't let her weird moods and vibes think that you're not a good parent.

i agree with #127... i bought my first thong on my own when i was 14, and i'm a prude compared to most people my age. i plan on abstaining until marriage, so its not like anyones gonna see it. are they the most comfy things in the world? nah, so i only wear them with dresses, leggings & stretchy material things where panty lines are clearly visible. but all these adults are freakin out like its the end of the world. who the hell cares what we wear BENEATH our pants, where no one can see? really. priority check, please.
