Today, my dad sent me $200 by mail, only to mail it to the wrong person. So now some random person is getting $200 from my dad. FML

Considering it is a federal offense to open someone else's mail, hopefully it is sent back to your dad. He then could send it to your proper address. If he sent a cheque, he could put a stop payment on it (not that anyone but you should be able to cash it), and the re-send it. If he sent cash, well that's just dumb, but honestly could be a cop out if your dad is cheap. He could have said he sent it to the wrong address, say he never got it back, and can't afford to send more. So many different scenarios could be in play here. I'm kind of hoping for a follow up lol. Either way OP, fyl, that sucks.
