Today, my boyfriend used the "this isn't working, we need to talk" line on me. How nice of him to wait this long to do so, just days after we returned from the expensive Caribbean holiday that I paid for. FML

Today, my long-distance British boyfriend of 7 years canceled his plane ticket to visit me in the USA. He claims he "doesn't have enough money" to stay for 2 weeks. As I began canceling all the reservations, he called to say he bought a new car and a house. FML

Today, my boyfriend wanted to take me to a movie after days of not seeing me. This long-awaited date involved me paying for food and my movie ticket when he ran out of cash again. He then dumped me as we left the theater walking to his car. Yes, I financed my own breakup date. FML

Today, I told my boyfriend I wouldn't be able to get any time off work to go to Mexico with him, and that we'd have to get our tickets refunded, and reschedule. He said not to bother, and that he already had someone else in mind to take with him. FML

Did you ever consider the problems might have grown on the holiday? Alot of couples find out they're wromg for each other on holiday, I know I did.

Not a week ago there was a post where the OP got dumped during a trip and the consensus seemed to be the guy should have waited until after the trip so as not to ruin it for both of them. Well, this guy did. And he's still getting bashed.

I think the main problem is that she paid entirely for the trip. Him breaking up with her just after they got home seems a little ungrateful. But at least he didn't leave her during the trip.
