Today, my boyfriend took me to his grandfather's funeral. At the reception, his family members insist on hearing me play piano. After getting positive reactions, I dive into one of my favorites, Rustle of Spring. In 2 seconds everyone bursts into tears. That was Papa's favorite too. FML

If I was his family, I probably would have been touched. So don't feel too bad!

Don't feel bad, I'm sure they will appreciate it a little later. It's okay.

they weren't tears of anger just of emotion

I'm sure they werent offended.

aww, not fml, it's sweet. It gives them something else to remember him by! Someone who the family barely knew just played his favorite tune, it's kinda poetic imo.

hmm, they should be touched or sumfin'

Hearing that song most likely just made them think of fond memories with him. They appreciated the song, i would conjecture, so how is this FML?

Just made your way in the family, grats. Condolences to you and the family for the grandpa tho :

Why is this a FML? They were probably crying because it brought back a good memory of him. You should be happy about it.

No way is this an FML. As others have/will most likely say I'm sure they were only crying because of the memories of him.
