Today, my boyfriend called me in the middle of the night and told me he got mugged and was on his way to the hospital. I told him to fuck off because that was a horrible April Fool's joke. He asked if I wanted to talk to the paramedic. I told him to stop bothering me. Turns out it was true. FML

Today, I visited the hospital with my boyfriend to have an injury checked. When the doctor removed the band-aid, my boyfriend started screaming and passed out. I had to get him out of the room using a wheelchair. The "injury" is a cut in his finger. FML

I agree with #23, you probably shouldn't joke about getting hurt. I would be too worried that I would actually get hurt and then nobody would believe me. Also, the gf could have asked if it was a joke and if the bf continued being serious that would mean that he's probably telling the truth.

if he offers to put on a paramedic, and he's not usually known for pulling really well planned out stunts, you're horrible and should be dumped. i could understand maybe if it's typical of him to joke around using very elaborate schemes. i mean if that's the case, for all you know, he could have a friend of his standing in as the paramedic. but yeah if he doesn't normally do stuff like that, i hope he dumps you.
