Sure it's probably really embarrassing but it'll make for a good story years from now. Also if OP is under say 15 then I wouldn't blame him for being over protective.

When I lived at home my Dad made me miserable by getting drunk and making me feel so worthless I wished I was dead. I think I'd prefer this any day.
