Today, while visiting family, we went to a restaurant to eat. Towards the end of the meal, I went to use the restroom. When I came back, everyone was gone. Everyone had actually gotten into their cars and left without me. I have no idea where I am and no one is answering their phone. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, our family went out to a restaurant at night. My cousin and I needed to go to the restroom, so we told everyone before going. Less than three minutes later, we came out to find them gone, along with the cars. They forgot about their own kids. FML
Today, my family and I drove to a mall an hour away. We split up, and I went into a store by myself. A little later, I get a call from my brother asking me where I am. They had already left to go home and didn't notice me missing from the car. They were already halfway home. FML
Today, my parents started fighting at a restaurant. Embarrassed, I went to the restroom to get away and stayed in there for about 15 minutes, knowing how long their fights can last. When I came back, they were gone. They'd ditched me, and left me to walk several miles back home. FML
Today, my mom and dad went off somewhere for some alone time together. My mom had apparently turned her phone off and my dad left his at home. In that span of time, my brother had accidentally locked himself out of his house, and my sister was also trying to get a hold of them, and now are asking me where they're at. FML
Today, I asked my mother if we were eating supper soon so I could take a nap. She said no so I went into my room and fell asleep. When I woke up, everybody was gone. My entire family of 6 went to Olive Garden while I was sleeping. FML
Today, I did a "dine and dash" and left my phone in the restaurant. The owner answered my phone call. FML
Today, and after a lot of effort to reconnect with my family after a while of limited contact, I found out from the family group text that my mom, sister, and grandmother went on a vacation without me, and I didn’t even know about it until they posted some airport selfies. FML
Today, I accidentally left my cell phone at the restaurant. When I realized my mistake, I went back to see if anyone had found it. They said no, so I gave them my number to call if it turned up. I realized later that I'd given them my cell phone number. FML
Today, I got lost in a foreign city while on vacation and couldn't communicate with anyone, because I didn't speak the language and no one seemed to be able, or even wanted, to speak to me in mine. FML
Today, I went to visit my parents after 4 years of not seeing them. They'd moved without telling me. FML

I got pranked by my workmates like this once, they left me with the bill of $1,600. Thankfully I had enough not to get my card declined, but it would have been very embarassing if it did. They did pay me back afterwards though.

I didn't mean it seriously. 1600 won is just over 1 US dollar. Won is the currency of Korea, which is where #20 was from. Besides, it could have been. My keyboard has the symbol for won ₩, pretty close to $.

OP didn't say anything about passing out. Their family just left OP at a restaurant. It's pretty black & white, and it happens all the time. My mom once forgot me in a sketchy area of downtown when I was 8. She then forgot where she forgot me! So she just kind of gave up looking. I had to walk into a police station for help. They gave me a ride home.

#47 It's actually a pretty normal thing. When you're in a large party, it's pretty easy to forget who's where, and pretty hard to keep tabs on every person. I worked in a restaurant a while back, and there would be at least one person a week asking to use our courtesy phone. Because they were forgotten by their party while they stepped out for a bit. Why would your family, as a collective, come to the descison that you should be left behind at the restaurant? If they were secretly planning to leave OP there, they wouldn't have invited OP to begin with. Unless they were complete dickwads. In which case, why would you go to dinner with them/expect an uneventful evening?
