Today, I had to babysit both my neighbor's 3-year-old daughter and my very pregnant cat. I left the room briefly, only to come back to a traumatized 3-year-old crying in horror as my cat gave birth in front of her. FML

Are you for real? OP never said anything about the circumstances of the birth itself just that she was upset it happened in her bed in the middle of the night. The cat could be a purebred - which changes everything. The pregnancy could have been a surprise - which is common - which changes everything. The OP might actually have parents, sibling or a roommate who actually own the pet and are responsible for its care - which changes everything. Next time you want to be a judgmental *******, take the time to think first.

Today, I taught my kid how to mow the lawn. It's a self-propelling mower so it's easy to handle. My kid thought it would be smart to tie the handle down so that he wouldn't have to push it at all. This resulted in the lawn mower blasting through our fence and sinking into my neighbor's pool. FML
