Today, I was in a hurry to get to work. I pulled impatiently behind a long line of cars to make a right hand turn. I sat there for 5 minutes. Turns out there wasn't a line to make a right hand turn. I had been waiting behind a line of parked cars. FML

Today, I was waiting in line for breakfast at the McDonald's drive-thru. After getting so fed up that the line hadn't budged for 10 mins, I pulled out of the line, only to realize I was waiting behind 2 parked cars that were just to the left of the drive-thru lane. FML

Today, I spent five minutes waiting by a stop sign. The two cars in front of me were taking a long time to move, so I began beeping and getting angry. Turns out, these cars were parked and I was holding up a line of traffic. FML

Today, I pulled up to an intersection behind a car waiting to turn left and we missed a whole set of lights. As I was getting frustrated that they weren’t going when the light was green, I realised I was waiting behind a parked car. FML

Today, I was first in line at a stoplight. After five minutes, with a line of cars behind me, the light was still red. People behind me started honking, so I decided to just go. Halfway across the way, I was greeted by a camera flash. Nobody else went. FML

Today, in a rush to squeeze out of a particularly tight parking spot, I made a hurried 12-point turn. Just to make sure I had enough room behind, I hopped out of my car. It was still in reverse. I managed to wreck my own car without even sitting in it. FML

Today, I was stuck in what I thought was traffic on my way home from work. I started weaving in and out of traffic because it seemed to only be a few cars holding up the line. I get to the front of the line and I'd realized I just weaved through a funeral procession. FML

Today, I left 20 minutes early for school to get a good seat in class. I sat in traffic for 20 minutes before I even got on the thruway and for another 25 minutes once I got off the exit for school. Then I couldn't find parking at my university. I missed class. FML

Today, I was sitting at a traffic light when a cute girl appeared at the side of the road. I sat and watched her until she had crossed, when I realised that I had missed the light. A large queue of cars had built up behind me, yet none of them used their horn because I was driving my police car. FML

Today, my mom and I went to visit my Dad to wish him happy birthday. I was at a red light, waiting to make a left-hand turn into the only driveway, and once the light turned green, I was unable to go, because another car was coming out. Cars behind me were beeping. I was turning into the cemetery. FML

You have GOT to be kidding me. How did you manage to pull that, smart one? Seriously, didn't you notice that NOBODY had brake lights or flashers? Typically when you're in a hurry you'd notice that. This is EXACTLY why we should all just take cabs from now on.

Haha, I've done similar things to that...not for 5 minutes though, you couldn't see that none of the cars were moving ahead, no people, etc? Should have pulled back into traffic much earlier than that sorry but YDI

hahaha i've done that! only it was a broken car on a freeway offramp. i didn't notice he was broken and all these cars lined up behind me ... oh man it was funny after i was done feeling like a moron.

I hate it when that happens - there are too many goddamn roads where I live with "part-time lanes" where half the day the lanes double as parking spaces, and they butt right up against the damn turning lane of an intersection. I once got into a situation where I found myself behind parked cars, noticed immediately, but then some dumbass pulls into the lane behind me and blocks me in, thinking the same thing I was thinking. Now I'm not only in the wrong lane, but STUCK there. That was fun.
