Today, I was helping some mental health patients at work, I spent 20 mins to fail to connect the DVD player to the TV and went back to make them something to eat. I came back into the room after 5 mins and one of the patients had connected it for himself. He has a profound learning disability. FML

Your giving them way too little credit. They are humans like you and me after all.

Sometimes disabled people have a gift in certain fields. Like the kid with down syndrome who's a piano playing prodigy. Or an elephant who can paint......because elephants....are....disabled? Forget it. Just learn technology.

I'm pretty sure hooking up a DVD player doesn't count as a "gift".

I bet your mom turned on your computer for you.

That's not being very respectful to them. They're just as intelligent as a normal human. In fact your life is f***ed - because you have no compassion for these people.

#46 - Be original for god's sake. Oh hi there angel03260!

You're a moron, who doesn't know how to connect an archaic machine to a possibly archaic TV YDI

you do of course realize that some people with "mental problems" have knowledge about some things better than others could? some of the most mentally ****** up people wound up being geniuses. look at van gogh, the bastard cut his ear off and he was one of the most influential painters of all time. look at beethoven, he was deaf. not that thats a mental disorder, but most people would think someone deaf could never do something like that
