Today, I tried to prove to my girlfriend how much I've matured and that our relationship comes before anything else in my life. So I went to delete my character in World of Warcraft. I tried to confirm it, but I couldn't, breaking down in tears instead. FML

Today, I realized that I'll have to explain to my child that mommy and daddy met on World of Warcraft. FML
Today, several family members, including my mum, deleted me from Facebook in a concerted show of contempt. Apparently, I just can't shut up about World of Warcraft. FML
Today, my boyfriend dumped me because I was having an affair in The Elder Scrolls Online. While ranting to my online elf husband, he got upset that I had a real life boyfriend and dumped me too. FML
Today, I was feeling proud of myself because I finally quit World Of Warcraft. I later found out about the gift my dad's family gave me. It was a 12-month subscription to World Of Warcraft. FML
Today, I found myself crying for an hour when my recreated crush on The Sims 3 game rejected my character and ran off with someone else. FML

My boyfriend and I are gamers. I enjoy watching him play games and we often play together. I am 21 and he is 24. We are even talking about creating a game room in the house we are getting soon. Everything from our wedding to the birth of our first child is planned to be very nerdy. Everyone has something they are passionate about. If people point out that I'm wasting time I point out that they just sit and watch other people play sports, spend 100s in shops, ect. We all have our crutch. The biggest prop is that you are trying to get rid of yours. Others see it as "just a video game" but they don't realise just how important it is until it is pushed into their face in reverse. Don't listen to others and keep doing you. One day you will get there it just takes time. One step at a time OP, you got this.
