Today, I took a girl I like to the movies. Everything went great until I went in to kiss her. She didn't object, but my mother, who apparently followed me to the theater and was now pulling me away by my shirt while saying, "We're leaving!" certainly did. FML

Today, I went to the cinema with a girl I like. Knowing she has a bit of a soft spot for me, I was keen to sit in the back row. Too bad her sister tagged along, insisted that we sit somewhere else, and scolded me every time I so much looked at her. I ended up paying for the unwanted guest as well. FML
Today, I went to the movies with my boyfriend. He went to get popcorn and I went to the bathroom. Thinking he had got back before me, I sat down next to him in the theater. I leaned in to kiss him, then realized it was some 70-year-oldish woman. FML
Today, the girl I've had a crush on decided she wanted to see a movie with me. I tried to hold her hand during the movie and it was great for about four minutes. Then she said, "Can I have my hand back?" FML
Today, I went to the movies with my girlfriend. As I started putting my arm around her, I hit her in the face. FML
Today, I got the courage to ask my mom if I could go to the movies alone on my first date with my new boyfriend. She said OK, which was surprising because she never lets me go anywhere alone. When I got to the theatre with him I saw my mom. She had saved seats for us. FML
Today, I asked a girl out and made plans to go see a movie. About 5 minutes in, I made a move to put my arm around her and smashed her in the face. FML
Today, my girlfriend and I were at the movies. When the "love scene" came on, she leaned over and made out with the wrong man. FML
Today, I went to see a movie with the girl I've liked for months. After the commercials, she told me she had to go to the ladies room. She never came back. FML
Today, I went to the movies with a girl I like, then we went to grab a bite afterwards. She spent most of the time telling me how much she dislikes my best friend because he hooked up with a new girl. I then found out the two had been "talking" for a while. FML

Wow, are some mum's really this protective of their children? Maybe she knows something about the girl you don't? Or maybe your age has something to do with this?

Do what I do and LIE about where the hell I'm going. Well, did back when my parents thought they could control me, not to mention when I still lived under their roof... So if she stalks there and you say we changed or minds and saw a different movie at the last moment, your mother can't be overly pissy. FYL for the fail mom, but learn from it and you might just amount to a small, small fraction of the depravity I save up for rainy days (yes I'm quite Machiavellian). PS: Read The Prince, and when you're done, the 48 Laws of Power.

Maybe his mom knows more about him than he'd like. Not every overprotective parents are jerks. I've got relatives who are grandparents at 35 because the guys stuck their wick in every warm hole and the girls couldn't pass a stiff pole without insertion. An overprotective parent might have put an end to a lot of baby mama drama.

There is an age where a person is too young to kiss. But it was still very controlling of the mom. Does she realise that she made both herself and her son look bad in front of the girl and all the people in the theater.
