Welcome to the club. I'm pretty sure 3 out of 5 guys have been friend zoned at one point, and probably 2 out of 5 women.

Well, at least you took the chance and told him. I know it must hurt, but you never know unless you try. Sometimes it's better to know for sure, even if you don't get the answer you wanted, than to wonder what could have been.
