Barrie made up the name Wendy when he wrote Peter Pan yet no one makes fun of someone named Wendy. Harry, Bella, Jacob, Edward, and even Potter were all names before the fervor so I don't see why that should be comical.

Maybe in sequence it would be comical. However, my brother and I turned out to have the same names as a couple from a book. You never know who's going to write a story using fairly common names for their characters.

unfortunately, there are far too many people who think of children as a sort of pet. some of the names people come up with for their kids are awful. i think the problem is people try too hard, and try to make their kids into unique snowflakes - i guess bright orange snowflakes ARE different, but i bet the other snowflakes torment them nonetheless. i saw someone on facebook who had named their first kid Piper Cynthia. I mean, really? what an awful combination. (not paying out the names themselves, they just sound silly next to each other)

They could be family names. Or maybe the parents didn't think it sounded bad. I don't think it's bad myself.

I always thought the name "Jared" would be a little mean because it sounded a lot like "Jar Head". Great for a marine, not so good for a little kid in the south bronx.

this isn't even really an fml... I think the names are kinda cool... it depends what they think of the names... but seriously how is this an fml for YOU? and btw I'm not even a harry potter fan at all ad I still kinda like the names...
