Today, I realized that the closest thing I have to a savings account is the cup on my dresser with coins in it. I counted it, $17.34. That is my savings. I'm 28. FML

Most of us also have a lot more saved than the OP. Assuming OP is employed atm, if he were to lose his job anytime soon, he wouldn't last more than a day with that kinda savings.

OP, get a job, no offense but if you had a job or at least knew not to spend your money right away you'd have some decent savings! i'm 16, and have $600 saved for retirement already. YDI for spending all your money/not having a job
