Today, I proposed to my girlfriend. She asked if the ring was a temporary thing until I got a better one, saw my dumbfounded face, then played it off as a joke and said yes. I later found out she'd posted on Facebook bitching about the ring, but with the privacy setting set to hide it from me. FML

Today, I got home and my girlfriend was wearing the ring I bought last week. Apparently she found it and thought to herself, "Fuck it, we’re engaged now so I’ll just start wearing it", completely bypassing the actual proposal part of getting engaged. I’m actually really mad at her right now. FML

She’s now wearing it on her right hand like a signet ring and she somehow hasn’t figured out it’s a diamond and not a Swarovski. I'm now waiting for her to figure it out before I pop the question. FML

Wow. What a bitch. I mean it's fine if she didn't like the ring, but the least she could do is be upfront about it. I'm not going to say dump her, but that's a bad character trait to put up with. I live with a family of people who are like that. So not healthy and these bring up issues like you wouldn't believe on the way. If you really want to marry her, you should find a way to handle or deal with it.

Take the ring back and find someone that deserves it - and you. If she's hiding her bitching from you already and so ungrateful she'll make your life a living hell when you're married, guaranteed.
