Today, I spent all day handing out flyers advertising my services as a psychic. I got only one call. The caller wanted to inform me that I had misspelt the word "psychic" on my flyer. She was right. FML

Today, the psychiatrist who I've been relying on to evaluate my condition to give me some real help, who I've been waiting on my appointment with for three months, suddenly rescheduled me until February next year. Why? Because she's "not working that day". I can't afford to see anyone else. FML

Today, I spent half an hour on the phone with a woman who was yelling at the top of her lungs, sobbing uncontrollably, and hyperventilating. She also told me if she had a heart attack and died from crying, it was all my fault. Why? I told her she needed her receipt to have her TV repaired. FML

Today, I called a doctor's office for a referral. I was in public, so when she asked me what type of issue I had, I mumbled that I had a vaginal issue. After painstakingly having to repeat this several times, she said she was asking what kind of insurance I have. FML

Not that I consider a psychic's recommendation worth a damn, but why not just give her the ultrasounds she wants? It's a safe procedure and assuming she is willing to pay, why not just give it to her?

Not sure about the States, but in Canada (at least where I live) you have to have a requisition letter from your doctor before they can do an ultrasound. It sounds like that's the case in this FML.

That's just not the way it works. Plus one needs to prepare for an ultrasound if it's to see a pregnancy...drinking a lot of water beforehand and not emptying the bladder for 3 hours prior to the scan. Someone can't just walk in and get an ultrasound.

Probably also has to do with insurance. I'm betting she is expecting her insurance provider to cover it and naturally they aren't going to pay for an ultrasound if there hasn't even been a pregnancy test done.
