Today, I got to sleep in late for the first time in 3 years, as wife took our two young daughters out of town to visit with her parents. I told my mother that I was really looking forward to being able to sleep in this morning. The phone rang at 7:30. It was my mother asking me how I slept. FML

#17/24788: You have a point. @OP: My Mom's "sleeping in" is like... 8:30AM. A couple people in my grade are the same way because their parents won't let them sleep in later than that. It sucks though. You could have gone back to sleep. Or just ignored the phone call? I feel sympathy for you though. I hate it when people think waking others up is funny when they're extremely tired.

Sometimes I can't stand how ignorant some people are when posting a reply to these anecdotes. "Turn your phone off!" "Roll back asleep!" "This isn't a FML!" Come on, people! People are limited on the number of characters when typing up these FML's. Why turn off your house/cell phone? Something terrible could happen, and the OP would have no way of being contacted. Some people CAN'T roll back asleep. It could take a few minutes, or, it could even take an hour. Not everyone is the same.
