Today, I got the car of my dreams. My daughter also learned how to write her name. Now I have "LAUREN" across the side of my car. FML

I'm confused as to how the only way to not be a bad parent is to sit in front of the child and stare at it like a ghoul until it's 8 years old.

I want to know what she wrote it with. Because so far this sounds like a lame-ass fml.

Sounds quite sweet to me, aren't you proud that your daughter can write? She was just trying to be nice

Am I the only one wondering what OP's car of her dreams is? Personally, mine is the '67 Chevy Impala...

yea I was wondering that. why would you want a 43 year old car? do you just like "classics"?

just wondering...why was your 5-7 year old outside unsupervised for long enough to write her name on the side of your car? YDI

So what, a 5-7 years old shouldn't be allowed to play in the yard? You want to keep the child locked up in a cage or what? As long as they had a fence around the property and/or there weren't any cars running nearby, what's the problem?

Ok well, if she's young enough to just learn how to write, she probably shouldn't be left alone with a permanent marker!.... and if it was anything other than a marker, it washes off easily, so your life is incredibly 'not ******'

Actually, she wrote her full name. Lauren is short for Laurenkumar Srisubramanayan

44, haha my thoughts exactly. it seems like everyone on fml thinks it's bad parenting if they're not constantly watching their kids like a hawk.

Beat that kid like she just ruined your new car. Wait...
