Today, I got my paycheck. I was really excited since I've been broke for the last two weeks. On my way home, I got pulled over and got a ticket for expired tags. The $90 for new tags plus $135 for the citation will leave me with enough to buy a burger. FML

I don't see why there's so many YDIS. obviously if you were broke, you didnt have the money for new tags. ugh silly dumb people

For real, I'm sorry but some people need food to survive. and even if they "budget correctly" Op only got SO MUCH on their paycheck. Maybe they have BILLS to pay? that would take up probably the majority of their already small paycheck. I've worked at a place where I got super small pay. no matter how well you budget you really don't have any money for anything extra, say like, car tags

1. OP knew that license plates need to be renewed ahead of time. If she put aside...say, $2 each pay period she'll have enough saved to buy her tags. 2. For the price of a burger you can get a half pound of deli meat, a loaf of bread and some fruit and that can be your lunch for the next week. The grocery prices at Wal-Mart are ridiculously low. And I live in the city so I'm not basing price estimates on rural prices. No one said anything about OP starving herself for a week but there's no need to eat out either.

I'd like to say that you deserve it, but I'm totally in the same boat right now of not having any money, so I understand how much your life sucks. Go to court over it, and you'll probably get the ticket dropped as long as you bought the stickers quickly, and explain that you don't have money right now.
