In the FML, you didn't explain that he lied about the ring's value. Not that you did, FYL; I wouldn't want a fiance who lies to me like that. However, why do you demand that your boyfriend give the ring a lot of thought? Did you put a lot of thought into his ring? In fact, did you even give him a ring? Wouldn't it be better if he spent time and money on more useful things, like his education/career, your education/career, furniture, paying the bills, etc? You also said the ring was beautiful. If so, it shouldn't matter whether it costs 25 cents or $20 000; it's beautiful, just like a ring should be.
that's not quite sound logic. Just because you spend more on the ring doesn't mean it's more durable by necessity. Sure if the business that sold you that very expensive ring wanted to stay in business and have a good reputation with its customers, it can make sure the ring is durable and such, but at the same time, they could just be completely ripping you off. In any case, I kinda wish i saw that commercial now just to see what that ring was like but unfortunately I have decided to forgo television for internet + cpu lol
hey! I saw that infomercial last night!
But it comes in the "velveteen" box...

The important thing is that you like it and he got it for you.
it's the thought that counts as long as it's beautiful why does it even matter and money is hard these days so wow
