Today, I discovered just how picky my son is. In addition to understandably not eating vegetables, he also doesn’t eat chicken fingers, pizza, or ice cream, along with several other foods I assumed all kids love. FML

Today, I was buying veggies with my five-year-old. She saw some brussel sprouts and begged me to buy them. I thought there was no way she'd like them, but I do, so I got them. Later, she was sitting on the couch eating them raw like candy. I have a weird kid. FML

Today, I found out that my ex let my son eat nothing but cereal and milk for every single meal during his five-day visit. Now my son shrieks, cries, and has a meltdown if I try to make him eat real food. My ex merely replied, "Your problem now." FML

Today, my 27-year-old son told me that for him, eating a food he doesn’t like is “way, way worse” than breaking a bone. He has broken both his arms, several ribs, and a few of his toes, and he still thinks that. FML

Today, my wife insisted we start a college fund for our son, even though from where we were sat in the kitchen, we could clearly see him eating ice cream he'd just dropped on the floor, while picking at his belly button. He’s 13. College, sure. FML

Today, I was wondering why my home smelled so weird, until I found out that my 4 year old son had been secretly scattering around food he didn't like to eat throughout the house. How did I find out? No one else in this family leaves half eaten spinach all over my underwear drawer. FML

my son wont eat anything he thinks is considered junk food ... including candy, sugary items, juice etc. on the bright side his teeth are beautiful and dental bills are cheap . best 5 yr old ever

So much yes! My kid has sensory processing disorder. After years of only eating a few different things and occupational therapy to help with issues is she starting to try new things.

Did you start your kid eating vegetables first? My kids pretty much ate anything. They were also told that if you don't want to eat what is made,cook for yourself. My middle child was baking by the time she was 8. She said that she loved all the food that was cooked, some nights she just felt like eating something else,so she learned to cook it.
