Today, I introduced my new boyfriend to my parents. Everyone knows he's into the emo scene, but this didn't stop my dad from slowly looking him up and down, then saying, completely deadpan, "You never told us you were a lesbian, honey." FML

Congratulations, the hard part is over with and all you got was a slightly uncomfortable moment over a bad joke. And thats all it was really, doesnt mean your dad doesnt love you or accept you just means he is trying to show his acceptance in the typically parental way which includes "speaking our language" You want to blame anyone for the "man in the relationship" joke blame the portrayal of homosexuals in the media who always pair an efeminate guy with one you wouldnt know was gay unless he told you.
