Today, I bought a UV light so I could detect cat pee, since I was sure my cat was relieving herself on the carpet. I decided to try it out in the living room first. Nearly half the room lit up like a Christmas tree. FML

I went into a house of an old men and the smell of pee cats was unbearable. I told him about the smell but he could not smell anything wrong.... Maybe just outsiders can notice it.

well either get the carpet cleaned or rake up the carpet and pad............and possibly clean and seal subfloor??? then uhhh recarpet

This sounds like a vet-worthy problem. Cats, like most animals, will usually find a particular spot to pee in if they are doing it intentionally--they won't just pee all over the place. The exception is if your cat is not neutered, in which case YDI because that is how they mark their territory.
