I find it irritating how if a guy rejects a girl on the idea of marriage, everybody's okay with it. But as soon as a girl rejects a guy on the idea of marriage, it's this huge traumatizing problem. Sometimes girls aren't ready for it either. That doesn't mean they're "wrong" or "bad" in any way, it just means that you're at different points in the relationship. It's a good idea to discuss marriage with your partner before proposing to avoid embarrassment for the both of you.

I think in relationships you really need to talk about this. Its very old fashioned that a man has several months to a year to decide if he wants to marry a woman, and she only gets thirty seconds to decide.
